Glenwood City’s 2024 graduates awarded $95,850 in scholarships and grants

GLENWOOD CITY — Several members of this year’s graduating class at Glenwood City High School will be receiving just under $100,000 to continue their education and training at institutes of higher learning. 

In all, 24 of the 43 class members will be receiving monetary awards.

Honor student Kenzie Price received the largest total, $17,000, much of which is coming via three scholarships from the Missouri University of Science and Technology including a $13,000 Groundbreaker Scholarship. Price is also one of 11 members from the Class of 2024 that will be receiving a $1,000 Russell Meyer Scholarship.

Class co-valedictorian Sydney Grant was awarded $13,400, $9,000 of which is from the Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship that is given annually to the top student in the graduating class of every Wisconsin public school.

Savanna Millermon, the class’s other co-valedictorian earned nine awards totaling $6,400. Fellow honor students Nelson Polen and Libby Wagner were both awarded 11 scholarships totaling $10,200 and $6,450, respectively.
