Tanner Steven Weiss, 35, from Wilson, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On January 8, 2023, at approximately 2:06 p.m. a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a car on Interstate 94 that was traveling west near mile marker 32 for a license plate violation. During the traffic stop, the Trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the car. A subsequent investigation, including a standardized field sobriety test, was conducted on the driver.
The driver, Tanner Steven Weiss from Wilson, WI was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance 1st offense with a minor in the vehicle. Mr. Weiss was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test and then to the Dunn County Jail.
The child, age 6, was released to her mother.
Mr. Weiss is being charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence 1st offense with a minor child in the vehicle, possession of THC, and drug paraphernalia.
