COLFAX — The Colfax Board of Education has re-elected Todd Kragness as president and Andrew De Moe as clerk.
Ken Neuburg, who is vice-president of the school board and was not up for election this year, administered the oath of office to Kragness and De Moe at the school board’s organizational meeting April 25.
Kragness and De Moe, both incumbents, tallied the most votes in the April 5 election for two positions on the school board and faced challengers Matt Flatland and Tom Hendrickson.
Members of the Board of Education nominated the incumbents in their current positions to continue serving.
In addition to Kragness being nominated for president of the school board and De Moe being nominated as clerk, Neuburg was nominated as vice-president, and Kyle Knutson was nominated as treasurer.
There were no additional nominations, and the Board of Education did not make any motions or hold votes on the nominations.
The Colfax Board of Education also approved the following during the April 25 meeting:
• Colfax Messenger as the official newspaper of the school district.
• Third monday of the month as the regular Board of Education meeting date.
• Wipfli LLP as the school district’s auditor.
• Weld Riley as the school district’s legal firm.
• Jaclyn Ackerlund, school board member, as CESA 11 delegate.
• Ken Neuburg as Wisconsin Association of School Boards representative.
