COLFAX — Four candidates filed nomination papers for two positions in the non-partisan April 5 election for the Colfax Board of Education.
Incumbents Todd A. Kragness and Andrew J. De Moe faced challengers Matt Flatland and Tom Hendrickson.
According to the official election results following the Board of Canvassers meeting, Kragness received 438 votes, and De Moe received 397 votes, while Flatland received 344 votes, and Hendrickson received 266 votes.
Kragness currently serves as president of the Board of Education, and De Moe serves as clerk for the school board.
There were no registered write-in candidates for the Colfax Board of Education.
Village Board
Three incumbents were on the ballot April 5 for three positions on the Colfax Village Board.
Carey Davis, Anne Jenson and Gary Stene all filed nomination papers by the deadline in January.
The vote totals reported for the village board are the unofficial totals reported on election night. The results will not be official until the Board of Canvassers meets.
Davis received 144 votes, Jenson received 167 votes and Stene received 150 votes.
There were no registered write-in candidates for the Colfax Village Board.
