MENOMONIE — Dunn County has hired Beata Haug as the county’s new chief financial officer.
Haug has worked in Dunn County now for two weeks, said Paul Miller, county manager, at the Dunn County Board’s January 19 meeting.
Haug comes to Dunn County from Washington County, Minnesota, he said, but she has worked at Dunn County Human Services in the past.
She has experience and expertise, Miller said.
Haug told the county board she has worked in a variety of public sector positions since 2003.
“I have gathered lots of knowledge, and I am excited by this opportunity,” she said.
Haug noted that she is “passionate” about policies, procedures and internal controls.
Haug served as an accounting manager in Washington County.
In 2017, she was employed as a fiscal manager in St. Croix County.
Keith Strey formerly served as Dunn County’s chief financial officer.
Strey retired this month.
