Sunnyside Shamrocks had a 4-H meeting on September 19th, 2021 at Faith Family Church in Emerald, WI. This is Michael Clark reporting your monthly update of the Sunnyside Shamrocks 4-H club. We had our pledges, led by Savanna Millermon or former and new President. We voted in new officers. Savanna Millermon is our new President. Garrett Gross for vice president. Gracie Perkins Greene as secretary, Nicholas Keeley as treasurer, and Michael Clark as reporter.
We took time to plan our year. We are going to have a Pizza party for our Award’s Banquet on October 17th at Faith Family Church. In November we hope to make cookies and ornaments. In December we are excited to have our Annual Corn Auction. This year we decided to have Speech night in January again instead of one speech every month. We hope to visit Trollhaugen in February. We would all like to learn a new skill in March such as leather. In April we are going to make tie blankets and learn how to sew. We are excited to invite our friends to a movie night in May. We will be busy getting ready for the fair and plan to paint signs for the rodeo and fair in June. Our meeting in July historically is a time to share our fair projects to the 4-H club. We will have a picnic in August to celebrate our accomplishments. September is always new enrollment month, vote for officers and planning our year, however you can join 4-H at any time.
Did you know that last week was National 4-H week. Did you do anything special?
Our community service project for the year is to write letters to those in the nursing home. We hope to spend time getting to know our community and brightening people’s day one letter at a time. During COVID we know it is hard and want to be able to share with others. Reporter out until next time.
