Grace Baptist Church of Boyceville affirmed the calling of God in Christopher Ames’ life, and attested to the commitment of his life to vocational ministry by church vote on Sunday, March 21, 2021.
Ordination in most Baptist churches consists of examination of the candidate by a council of pastors and theologians. This examination is a thorough review of the candidate’s calling, qualifications, theology, and philosophy of ministry. The Council then recommends to the local congregation that the candidate is or is not qualified for the ministry of the Gospel.
In Christopher Ames’ case, following his examination by a council on March 13, 2021, the council recommended that “Grace Baptist Church of Boyceville, Wisconsin… ordain Christopher Ames for the ministry of the gospel”. The council further commended “Chris Ames for his humility and teachability and his thorough doctrinal statement”.
Pastor Christopher Ames has served in full-time pastoral ministry for nearly seven years, serving as Pastor of Grace Baptist Church since 2014. Pastor Ames holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northland Baptist Bible College and a Master of Divinity degree from Central Theological Seminary.
