Wendy Sue Knutson
Wendy Sue Knutson, 67, of Eau Claire, Wis., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in the comfort of her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 11, 1957, to Donald and Marge Seehaver, the second oldest of four children. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1975.
She married Terry Knutson on Sept. 15, 1975, and they had three sons, Chad, Aaron, and Trevor. They later purchased the Knutson family farm from Terry’s parents, located southeast of Ridgeland. They dairy farmed for many years there while raising their three sons. She also worked for the United States Postal Office for 30 years in various cities around the area, where she eventually became the Postmaster in Altoona and later retired in 2021. She was a very strong, and hard working woman that took pride in everything that she did.
Later in life, she married Gary Norrish. They were united in marriage May 24, 2013 and resided in Eau Claire. They enjoyed scenic drives throughout the countryside, camping, going to various craft and thrift sales, spending time with their children and grandchildren, and occasional trips to Cady Cheese Factory to stock up on cheese to share with her boys.
Wendy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening and meticulously taking care of her home and yard, going for bike rides, and cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers! She had a caring heart that showed through in various ways, including being a loving caretaker for Donnie Hastert, always having a popsicle or treat on hand for her grandchildren, and ensuring she always brought the three boys their favorite food when she saw them.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 11 years Gary; sons Chad (Karla), Aaron (Kelsey Ash) and Trevor (Megan); a stepson Derek (Julie) Norrish; grandchildren Emma (Cody), Chase (Kenzie), Briella, Myles, and Hadley; her beloved puppy, Oreo; her mother Marge Seehaver; brothers Greg (Lisa) and Tom (Tara); sister Tami (David Lee) Seehaver; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and dear friends.
