Gary H. Booth

Gary H Booth, age 79 of Glenwood City, WI passed away Wednesday March 26, 2025 at Parkview Nursing home in Woodville, WI.

Gary was born October 1, 1945 in New Richmond, WI to Cassius and Vivian (Berends) Booth.

Gary grew up  in Glenwood City and graduated from Glenwood City High School.

Gary grew up on the family farm where he found a passion for dairy and horses. Gary showed horses where he met his wife Marie Volkert, they were married on April 19, 1969. They continued their lives together farming and raising horses.

Gary had farmed most of his life but later found a job working in a lumber yard. He was a hardworking man. He was part of the St. Croix Valley PRCA Rodeo, St. Croix Riders Saddle Club where he participated in the drill team, and Square dancing at the Minnesota State Fair. Gary was a 4-H leader and part of the fair.

Cheering for the Glenwood City Football team. He never missed a wrestling match for his son Wes. He also loved being able to watch his granddaughters show cattle, goats, rabbits and many more projects.

He will always be remembered for his homemade vanilla ice cream, those who got to indulge in some knew how good it was. He had a great sense of humor and always knew the way to get someone to smile.

Gary is preceded in death by his wife Marie Booth, parents Cassius and Vivian Booth and niece Amy.

Gary is survived by his son Wesley Booth, granddaughters Madalyne and Amara Booth, siblings Kathie (Alan) Newhouse, Janice Caress-Hanson, Renee (Tom) Mortel, Randy (Holly) Booth, Kevin (Linda) Booth, Betsy (Scott) Ellevold, Jodi (John) Best, Ricky (Lisa) Booth, and Diane Booth.

He is further survived many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City.
