Glenwood City School Board
There will be three new faces on the Glenwood City School board following the April 1st election. The three are Derrick Oberle, Jordon Bartz and Scott Lingerfelt. They defeated incumbent Tony Mielzarek.
The vote count for the school district gave Oberle 840 votes, Bartz 833 votes, Lingerfelt collected 774 and Mielzarek got 717.
Glenwood City Council
There were three open seats on the Glenwood City Council, but only two candidates on the ballot. They were incumbents Ben DeGross who received 270 votes and Jud Kraft with 216 votes. There were 30 write in votes and the council will have to appoint a person to serve in that third seat.
Voters in Glenwood City favored Brittany Kinser over Jill Underly for State Superintendent of School by a count of 219 to 121. For State Supreme Court Justice Brad Schimel got 241 and Susan Crawford received 137.
For St. Croix County Circuit Court judge, Branch, two, it was Brian T. Smestad with 208 over Heather M. Amos, who received 138 votes.
Town of Forest
There will be a new Chairman in the Town of Forest as Adam Swanepoel out polled Shari Overby by seven votes. The vote total was Swanepoel with 168 and Overby with 161.
For the two Supervisor seats on the Town Board Bruce Fouks received 168 votes, Jamie Junker with 154, Jeff Ericson got 139 and Bob Tredinnick with 111.
For Forest Town Treasurer, Nicole Miller was elected with 210 votes over Becky Fouks who collected 121 votes.
For Town Clerk, Nikki Sunday, running unopposed got 303 votes.
For State Superintendent, Forest voters favored Brittany Kinser over Jill Underly, 216 to 74. For the State Supreme Court it was Brad Schimel over Susan Crawford, 254 to 81. And for St. Croix County Circuit Judge it was Brian T. Smestad over Heather Amos, 195 to 89.
Town of Glenwood
Dale Berends was returned as Town Chairman, running unopposed and collected 291 votes. For the two seats as Supervisors for Glenwood Township, running unopposed were Barry Peterson with 256 votes and Bill McCluskey with 217 votes.
For Town Clerk, Lori Obermueller, who was running unopposed, collected 288 votes and Randall Ketola, also running unopposed as Town Treasurer received 269 votes.
Town of Glenwood voters favored Kinser over Underly for State Superintendent by a vote of 177 to 102. For the Supreme Court it was Schimel with 215 and Crawford with 97. For St. Croix County Judge it was Smestad over Amos, 188 to 100.
Town of Emerald
There were no contest for the offices in the Town of Emerald with Todd Peterson collecting 280 votes as Town Chairman, and for a seat on the Town Board Tom Klatt and Frances Klatt received 258 and 237 votes respectively.
Lorelei Wink received 294 voted for town clerk and Deann LaValley got 282 for town treasurer.
For State Superintendent it was Kinser over Underly, 198 to 98 and for the Supreme County voters gave Schimel 229 to Crawford with 94. For County Judge it was 202 for Smestad and Amos with 94.
Town of Springfield
Dean R. Fayerweather was returned as town chairman, running unopposed and collected 321 votes.
Barry Ketchum received 325 votes for Supervisor number one and James Mahoney got 324 for the Second Supervisor seat.
Town of Springfield voters favored Kinser over Underly 236 to 114 and Schimel over Crawford 263 to 135 for State Supreme Court. For County Judge the count was Smestad 216 to Amos with 133.
Village of Wilson
Kristina Schwartz was elected Village President with 74 votes and Amanda Millermon also received 74 votes for Village Trustee.
For State Superintendent, Wilson voters gave Kinser 54 votes to Underly with 19. For a County Judge Smestad got 46 votes with Amos collecting 29.
Town of Cady
There were no contests for town offices in Cady Township, with Mike Tully collecting 363 votes for town chairman. Jim Mikla got 304 votes and Bob Klanderman with 284 for the town board seats
For state offices, Cady voters favored Brittany Kinser over Jill Underly, 234 to 125. For the state supreme court the count was Brad Schimel over Susan Crawford 281 to 129 and for St. Croix County Circuit Judge, Branch 2, Brian T. Smestad over Heather M. Amos 232-143.
