Audrey M. Kuhn

Audrey M. Kuhn

Audrey Mae Kuhn, age 85 of Knapp, joined her husband in heaven for their eternal dance on December 3, 2024 at Our House Memory Care-Menomonie, with her loving daughter Kim at her side.
Audrey was born on June 13, 1939, in Dunn County, Wisconsin to Edmund and Grace (Smith) Jump. She graduated from Boyceville High School in 1957. On June 22, 1957, Audrey married Lawrence “Stan” Kuhn at the United Methodist Church in Boyceville, Wisconsin. They had a double wedding with her sister Bev and Bob Stalker. After their marriage, they made their home on the Kuhn farm with Stan’s parents Lawrence and Elsie (Purvis) Kuhn.
Audrey and Stan lived on the family farm raising their children: Kim Marie, Kristie Kay, Tamara Jo, and Troy Lawrence.
Audrey worked on the family farm next to Stan, driving tractor to bale hay, loading hay, and feeding and caring for the livestock. Her passion was her family, which was very dear to her heart, she enjoyed every minute with her family. She helped raise her grandchildren: Angela & Brendan and Jordan & Morgan.
Audrey made dinner for Kim and Troy’s family every week. She loved going to the children and grandchildren’s sport activities. She enjoyed her flowers, especially her rose bushes. Audrey supported Stan going to his fast and slow pitch ball games and tournaments. She kept an immaculate house while keeping the family and farm running.
We loved her cooking: steam pudding, french fries and shrimp, ice cream bars, oyster stew on Christmas Eve, blackberry pie, strawberry pie and strawberry freezer jam. Audrey enjoyed playing Bingo at the Moose Lodge while Stan bowled, driving herself to Turtle Lake to the Casino, puzzle books, playing card games: canasta, 500, royal rummy, and golf. Audrey loved decorating the entire home for Christmas… it was fabulous.
Audrey’s dream was to travel to Hawaii and her dream came true with travel partners Kim and Marcheta. She had the best Pina Colada at the Royal Hawaiian. Her travels were going to Michigan to visit Stan’s sister and family; Tennessee to visit Tami and family with Kim and John’s family, and California to visit Kristie’s family with Donna and Jerry.
She worked at Buckshots in Boyceville, Wisconsin and thoroughly enjoyed her time with the three owners and the customers; they were her friends. She loved to have her visits with each and everyone. Audrey was a loving wife, precious Mom, Gramma, Great Gramma and treasured friend of many.
Audrey belonged to the United Methodist Church in Knapp.
Audrey is survived by her daughters: Kim Marie (John) Uetz, Kristie Kaye (Lance) Schwartz, Tamara Jo (John) Billings, and son: Troy Lawrence (Heather) Kuhn; grandchildren Angela (Jamie) Larson, Brendan (Lyndsey) Uetz, Matthew (Liz) Schwartz, Jenna (Jose Vega) Schwartz, Tonya (Dan Thomas) Schwartz, Chelsey (Richie) Harris, Taylor (Tina Silverman) Betterley, Jordan (Hallie) Kuhn, Morgan (Evan Bauer) Kuhn; great grandchildren Sydney and Brady Larson, Brooklyn, Levi and Bowen Uetz, Ezekiel, Angelo and Myah Schwartz, Joselyn Vega, Jaden Harris, and Stetson Kuhn; special friend Lyndon Schlough; and Sister Donna Otto. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Jeanne Krueger, Bev Stalker, and Eleanor Frieburg, brothers-in laws: Earl Krueger, Bob Stalker, and Jerry Otto. She is further preceded by many other family and dear friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mythri with Mayo Health System Eau Claire, Mayo Hospice, Potter’s Country Home, The Neighbors of Dunn County, and Our House Memory Care for their compassionate, kindness, loving, and excellent care they provided for our Mom. We are truly blessed to call her our Mom! Love you, Mom!
