Michael (Mick) Lauber

June 16, 1937 – November 19, 2024

Mick was born and raised in Glenwood City where he excelled at football, basketball, baseball and track and field. After graduating from Glenwood City High School in 1955, he attended River Falls College. In college he played football, basketball and baseball and was elected to the River Falls College Hall of Fame. He graduated from River Falls with a degree in Education and began teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin School District where he taught for 32 years.

After retirement Mick began playing Senior Softball. He was a great shortstop and team leader and was involved in the formation of several national championships as a player and manager. Teams he managed were Eight times National/World Champions.

Survived by wife Barb, son John (Kari) and stepsons Doug (Joy), Jeff (Deanna), Todd (Missy), grandchildren Katie (Kevin) and Andrew (Rachael), two great grandchildren and sister-in-law Marge Lauber. Preceded in death by son, Jeff and brothers Jake and Hank.

Service December 14th at 1:00 p.m. – Visitation and Service at 2:00 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd NW 55433.
