Jessica L. Larson

Jessica Leah Larson, age 48 of Menomonie, WI passed away November 17, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born September 17, 1976 to Larry and Sandra (Steies) Wheeler in Menomonie, WI. Jess graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1995.

Jessica married Brent Larson on November 4, 1995 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, WI. Together they welcomed two children, Bryce and Connor.

Their family attended Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was on the Altar Guild. Jess worked at Ideal Door, Mayo Clinic Pharmacy in Eau Claire and Valley Bookkeeping in Knapp.

The most important thing in her life was first and foremost Brent and her boys. Jess was so, so proud of her boys.

Jessica always enjoyed getting together for “Family Time” with dad, mom, sister, brother, and their families, as well as her special aunt Marilyn (aka her second mom) for the holidays or just because we hadn’t been together for a while.

She loved to travel, for several years Jess would take a yearly girls trip with Mom, Sheila, Julie, and Marilyn. Many laughs and special memories were made, these trips meant the world to her.

She also looked forward to getting together with her “Up North” friends who turned into family. They would spend the summers together at their campers and then each winter they would plan a yearly vacation to someplace tropical.

Jess had so many special friends, each one holding a special place in her heart. If you were lucky enough to have known Jess or stayed close to Jess throughout your life you were truly blessed.

Jess is survived by husband, Brent; sons, Bryce (Shanda Trainor) and Connor (Tessa Stender); parents, Larry and Sandra Wheeler; father-in-law Junior Larson (Corrinne Hellendrung); sister, Sheila (Chad) Lee; brother Corey (Julie) Wheeler; sisters-in-law Cynthia (Mike) Lee and Kimberley Dicks; brothers-in-law Terry (Janet) Larson, and Joe (Mary) Larson. She is further survived by nieces and nephews Morgan Lee, Kaitlin Lee, Vinnie Wheeler, Brad (Melissa) Larson, Steve Larson, Chad (Alicia) Larson, Jeremy (Rene) Lee, Kari (Dan) Meeham, Kyle Larson, Chelsea (Mike) Reitz, Tina (Richard) Pastor, and Stacey (Andy) Evans.

She is preceded in death by mother-in-law, Shirley (Danovsky) Larson and brother-in-law Randy Larson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, WI or American Cancer Society in memory of Jessica.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, WI with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. The service will be livestreamed to the Trinity Lutheran Facebook page. Burial will be at Teegarden Cemetery in the town of Lucas, Dunn County, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI and one hour prior to the service at the church.
