Allen LeRoy Warner

Allen LeRoy Warner
With heavy hearts we said goodbye to Allen LeRoy Warner, age 92, who passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus on November 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born at home, on the Warner family farm, in Emerald, WI on March 24, 1932. He lived a full life filled with blessings of faith and a great love for his family.
As a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Allen was the heart of the family. Allen stressed the importance of faith, the value of hard work, humor, and kindness to everyone he met. Those closest to him fondly remember him for the twinkle in his eye, his happy, likeable personality, and his echoing laughter, which was often heard at any event he attended.
Allen served many years on the Emerald cemetery board and was an active member in the Forest United Methodist Church. He was seen many times wearing an apron at the Pancake Breakfast serving love and hospitality.
He enjoyed many interests which included buying and selling cattle, hunting, trap shooting, fishing, softball, card and dice games, going to garage sales and an occasional trip to the casino. He was often seen riding his Polaris Ranger checking on his cattle and crops. Allen had many pets over the years, but his last two dogs, Molly and Max, held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by their infant son Randy Allen Warner and great-granddaughter Ruby Bergman; parents, Harvey and Edith Warner; and six siblings: Marion (Ed) Hawksford, Anna (Howard) Johnston, Esther (Si) Simonson, Nell (Russell) Fitzer, Elaine (Galen) Whinnery, and Frank (Donna) Warner.
He is survived by his loving wife Ardys. They were married on June 12, 1954, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Deer Park, WI. They bought their farm in Forest, WI in 1957 where they had a lifetime fulfillment of being farmers. Together they raised five wonderful children: Steve (Patty) Warner, Jeanne (Gary) Bergman, Cindy (Doug) Meyers, Scott Warner, and Becky (Mark) Bridges; ten grandchildren: Joe (Sami) Warner, Julie (Ross) Kochendorfer, Jason (Jordan) Warner, Tim (Krista) Bergman, Dan (Krista) Bergman, Karissa Meyers, Jessie (Eric) Klopp, Matthew (Elayna) Bridges, Ryan (Kennedy) Bridges, and Kayla Bridges; and sixteen precious great-grandchildren: Leona, Layla, Brook, Henri, Charlie, Sophia, Elsie, Libby, Ava, Brooks, Norah, Elena, Greta, Marven, Baby Bridges and Lucy; and many nieces and nephews to whom carry forward a piece of his legacy.
A service to honor Allen’s life will be held on November 8, 2024, at Bakken-Young Funeral and Cremation Services (728 S. Knowles Avenue New Richmond WI 54017) with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a meal and burial service.
Allen’s favorite place to be was home on the farm, sitting in his recliner with Ardys by his side, enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the Vikings game. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the St. Croix Health Care Center for their wonderful compassionate care.
Allen will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his faith, love, and laughter he brought to all of us. We all know that we will see him again one day in heaven.
Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
