Robert T. Thatcher

Robert Thomas Thatcher, age 74 of Knapp, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 at MCHS-Red Cedar in Menomonie.

Robert was born October 23, 1949 to Clifford and Arlene (Annis) Thatcher in Menomonie. He attended Glenwood City High School.

On November 9, 1968 Robert was united in marriage to Diane Skelton at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville.

Robert worked for Century Fence Company as a highway foreman for 44 years full-time and another 4 years part-time.  He was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed deer hunting, bird hunting with his dogs, and trout fishing.

Robert was a loving husband and wonderful dad to Travis and Collin. His grandkids were the delight of his life.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Diane Thatcher, sons Travis (Jamie) Thatcher, Collin (Rebecca) Thatcher; brothers Dick (Minda) Thatcher, Jerry Thatcher (Heidi), and Jane (Randy) Hiben; grandchildren Grayden Thatcher, Beckett Thatcher, Colten Thatcher, McKenzie Thatcher; step-grandchildren Noah Scott and Henry Thatcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Arlene Thatcher and his sister Doris Kegen.

A private memorial service will be held for immediate family.
