Barry John Milune of Glenwood City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2024 in his own home after a long battle with cancer.
Barry (Bart) was born November 5th, 1962 at Amery Hospital to Doug and Marilyn Milune. He was born and raised in Glenwood City, Wisconsin. He had a great love for animals and they all loved him. He had many over the years. His dogs and birds were the joys of his life, right there with his wife, kids and grandchildren.
Barry attended Glenwood City High School and graduated in 1981. He worked several years with West Cap and then he finished his career with 20 years at Fleet Farm in Hudson Wisconsin in the Building and Supplies department. Barry met the love of his life, Cindi Milune in 1992 and they married July 2nd, 1994, celebrating their 30-year anniversary this year. When Barry wasn’t working, he enjoyed time with his animals, friends and family, doing just about anything outdoors or adventurous. Many family trips to Door County in the summer were planned, enjoying smoked trout or salmon with each visit. He was an avid sports fan also, and was found yelling at the TV for the Packers or Brewers game on more than one occasion, and he even enjoyed attending some games with his sons. “Papa Barry” was a favorite of the 17 grandchildren he had. He enjoyed attending their school or church functions whenever he could.
Barry is preceded in death by his grandparents Willard and Ester Hoff and Tony and Emma Milune, his parents Doug and Marilyn Milune, brothers Phillip Milune and Brent Milune and his granddaughter Olivia Main. He is survived by his wife Cindi Milune, siblings Vicki Milune Waters, Wayne Milune, Lori Milune and Kim (Larry) Goossens, and his children Angel Lemke, Justin Aeschliman, Aleshea Binkley, Jenny (Keith) Hansen, Josh (Erin) Konsti, Larry Jr (Bridget) Yadon, Jessica Yadon, Jodi (Chris) Main and Andy (Brittney) Yadon and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday August 1st, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, Wisconsin and Funeral will be Friday August 2nd, 2024 at 11am at the Methodist Church in Glenwood City Wisconsin.
