Vicki Lynn Brandt

Vicki Lynn Brandt
Vicki Lynn Brandt, 75, of Menomonie passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024 in the memory care facility at The Neighbors of Dunn County.
Vicki was born on March 1, 1949 in Menomonie to Barbara and Herman “Dutch” Luther. She was the oldest of six siblings growing up on the east side of Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High in 1967.
Vicki married Gary Brandt on January 31, 1970 and started their family two years later with the birth of their daughter Kristi Lee on August 30, 1972. Robert Dean completed their family on October 31, 1976 making an eventful Halloween night! Desiring to stay home with the children, Vicki opened her home to countless families as a daycare provider in 1978 and continued through 1990. At this point she was hired at the Chippewa Valley Technical College in Menomonie where she worked as an office administrator and forged many great friendships which she maintained throughout her life. In 2011, Vicki joined Gary in retirement and together they spent the next several years spoiling their grandkids and taking various road trips with friends and family. They were not fond of flying, so instead they explored the Midwest via bus or car.
Vicki especially loved potluck gatherings and saw them as an opportunity to showcase her “world famous” deviled eggs! She very much enjoyed baking sweets and canning vegetables – her dilly beans and pickled beets were among our favorite canned treats. Ever the hostess, at most any gathering she could be found near the buffet of food ensuring that no one went home without their fill of deliciousness.
Vicki is survived by her husband Gary of Menomonie; daughter Kristi (Chad) Hanes and their children Presley Victoria and Brandt Colin, son Bob (Ronda) Brandt. She is also survived by her aunt Rosie Reemts, siblings Debbie Casper, Dean (Lisa) Luther, Jeff (Amy) Luther, Dan (Tammy) Luther and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded by her parents Herman and Barbara Luther, infant brother Larry, many aunts, uncles, extended family, and Tina #1 the little black dog.
Funeral services to be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2024 at Olson Funeral Home (615 Wilson Ave. Menomonie, WI) with Pastor Geoffrey Kieta officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Luncheon will immediately follow the service.
