Lynn Leon Windsor, age 74, died in St. Croix falls WI July 5th, 2024 after complications from a stroke. He was born to Lee Ebid Windsor and Irma Thorson (Gast) in Boyceville, WI, August 30th, 1949. 

Lynn loved to be outside and work with his hands. He would often make play equipment for his kids from iron wood harvested from the family woods where he enjoyed spending time cutting wood with his family. He loved reading Louis L’ Amour and watching westerns and lived out some of these adventures with trips out west to Montana and Alaska, through the Yukon and along the Alaskan Highway. 

He was a father, companion, friend and hard worker. He was steadfastly loyal to those he loved and knew him well. He was there to lend a helping hand when he was able. Lynn graduated from Boyceville high school in 1967 winning the Bulldogs many championships in both football and wrestling. Lynn enlisted in the Army in 1968 and was discharged 1970 due to a medical condition. 

Lynn and Jacquelyn Schnell of Clayton WI were married in 1970 and had four children. They moved to the Amery WI area in 1973 to raise their family. Lynn was a Carpenter for many years with Kraus Anderson and later for Riley Construction as a Mason. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the woods. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Irma, brother Larry, granddaughter Raegan, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lynn is survived by his four children, Jennifer Windsor (Thomas Ristow), Jacob Windsor (Teri Morse), Lucas (Becky) Windsor and Sarah Martinson (Windsor) as well as grandchildren Tobie, James, Maxten, Mitchel, Jered (Sarah’s children), and Piper and Rylie Windsor (Lucas and Becky’s children).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with interment of cremains following at Mound Cemetery in Downing, WI.
