Dean Marlette

Dean Marlette, 89, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024, in North Branch, MN. He formerly lived in Woodbury, MN.

Dean Marlette was born on May 14, 1935 in Glenwood City, WI, to Dewey and Minnie Marlette.

Dean grew up on the farm and in 1957 enlisted in the Army. He served our country until 1961. He then started his career as a Police Officer in Hudson, WI. From there he worked at 3M as a Security Guard. After 26 years he retired.

Not long into retirement he started working at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. After 17 years he retired again. It didn’t take long and he started working for the City of Woodbury at Bielenberg Sports Center. He finally retired in 2023 at the age of 88.

Dean always enjoyed socializing and meeting new people. He enjoyed golfing, camping at Cannon Falls Campground, bowling, and working in the yard.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joan.

Dean is survived by daughter Sharon Marlette, sons Dennis Marlette and Jim Marlette, and grandchildren Jim and Carl, and great grandchildren, sister, Karen Marlette.

Memorial Service Monday, July 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. with gathering 10-11 a.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church, Afton, MN. Interment church cemetery.
