Arnold G. Prinsen

Arnold Gene Prinsen of Glenwood City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024 at Regions Hospital after a short battle with cancer. 

“Arnie” was born to Wilmar and Marcella (Kiekhofer) Prinsen on May 5, 1951 in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He attended Glenwood City High School until 10th grade and then spent his days working on the family farm. He worked at local feed mills and for the past 8 years, really enjoyed working at the Holiday gas station at the 4-corners. When Arnie wasn’t working, he enjoyed going to auctions, collecting scrap metal, cutting wood, visiting with people and trying his luck at the casino.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Marcella Prinsen and brother Allen Prinsen. 

Arnold is survived by his children Heidi (Zachary) Weber of Amery, WI, Joe Hesselink (Monique Lamke) of Harvey, ND and Genevieve (Phillip) Leavitt of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Aaron, Maverick and Brooklynn Christenson, Taylor (Dana) Fitzgerald, Jessica (Clay) McCoy, Johnathan (Monica) Hesselink and Olivia Lamke; many great-grandchildren; brothers Ernie Prinsen of Emerald, WI, Leon (Judy) Prinsen of Arland, WI, Carl Prinsen of Glenwood City, WI and Randy (Dawn) Prinsen of Almena, WI along with many, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, Wisconsin and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Emerald Park in Emerald, WI from Noon to 6 p.m.
