Jerome D. Jacobs, Knapp, passed away peacefully at Comforts of Home in Menomonie, WI, on Tuesday, May 21st.

Born June 9, 1937, in Menomonie to Kenneth and Dorothy (Gagnon) Jacobs, Jerome graduated from Menomonie High School in 1955. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He was involved as a volunteer with several organizations and activities. He considered having Christ in his life as his greatest blessing. He lived a life of service bringing joy and being a light to others.

Jerome is survived by his sister Betty (Jacobs) Nielsen, Menomonie; sister-in-law Linda McIntyre; nieces Vonda (Sam) Johnson, Phillips; Lonna (Joel) Vogler, Inver Grove Heights, MN; Kari Jacobs, Beaver Dam; nephews Kevin (Jean) Jacobs, Glen Flora; Ryan (Christine) Nielsen, Hudson; Kurt Jacobs, Menomonie; 10 great-nieces and nephews, and nine great-great-nieces and nephews. Jerome is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Jacobs, and brother-in-law Cliff Nielsen.

A Visitation for Jerome will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in the Town of Stanton, Dunn County, Wisconsin with military honors by the Menomonie Veteran’s Honor Guard at a later date.
