Biden needs to be more proactive!
President Joe Biden needs to take the lead and calm the country and the protesters who have become more violent as the war in Israel enters its seventh month.
It seems to me that the president is riding the fence and trying to please all sides of the on going protest on college campus, including the Muslim population, the Jewish population and a couple of congress members who have backed the anti-Jewish protests.
“Biden has to do something,” Trump stated. “Biden is supposed to be the voice of our Country, and its certainly not much of a voice. It’s a voice that nobody heard.” Donald Trump voiced that with Sean Hannity on FOX and he repeated it at a campaign event last Wednesday in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
On Thursday, Biden addressed the issue with, “Dissent is essential for democracy. But dissent must never lead to disorder.”
After being asked; Biden said that he did not want the National Guard to be deployed. Some Republicans have called for sending in troops, an idea that has had bad results when four students were shot and killed by the Ohio National Guard at Kent State University in 1970 during demonstrations over the Vietnam War.
Protesters were active at the University of Wisconsin Madison campus with 34 being arrested on Wednesday morning after police took down tents of protesters.
All but four of the arrested protesters were not cited but of the four that were charged one was UW affiliated and charged with battery to a police officer, two others were also charged with battery to a police officer and a fourth person was charged with attempting to disarm a police officer and attempted escape. That fellow wins the “Dumb and Dumber” award.
Under our Constitution, we as citizens have five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution and those are religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition. The first ten amendments are called the “Bill of Rights.”
The First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The First Amendment does not give anyone the right to limit the movement of any other person. You cannot harm anyone or anything; occupy any public or private property or cause damage to property or the right to violate the law.
As I look at the current protesters, it looks like to me that they are being funded by some outsiders, just look at all the tents that are all the same as if some one is planning in advance and has stocked up on supplies.
I am a big supporter of the First Amendment, but we must put a stop to those who would promote “death of America, death to Israel, death to Jews.”
There is a big force in this country that is well funded that wants to change the way we live and are governed. So lets stop this at the ballot box come November to save our great country. I am afraid that it may be already too late as the new population has found that the public pocket book is now open and free money is flowing and the population has found out that they can live without working. That has now become the American dream. Sorry folks, that is the way it is.
