Ardys Elaine Wigdahl age 77, of Colfax, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday March 13, 2024 after a long battle with lung disease.

Ardys was a beautiful person who helped so many and made everyone she met feel special. Ardys was a wonderful sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, and friend who was gifted in her accounting and organizational skills as well as cross stitch, sewing, and quilting. She also enjoyed attending her grandson’s various events, where she could be found with a proud grin.

She was born June 8, 1946 in Rice Lake, WI to Edward Reinolt and Adeline (Newman). She grew up on a farm in the Chetek area and graduated from Chetek High School in 1964. She then attended the Eau Claire Technical College and received a 2-year degree in accounting. She went on to work as an accountant for Channel 13 and then became the accountant for Chippewa County Human Services where she helped guide and support people with disabilities. Ardys worked at Chippewa County Human Services for 29 years.

Ardys married her loving husband, Keith Wigdahl on May 19, 1990 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wheeler, WI, where they were longtime members. Together, they lived and enjoyed their beautiful farm in the country. The two of them cherished their time together, especially their amazing trip to Hawaii which was a favorite place for her to visit. They also loved taking short adventures to numerous places where they enjoyed spending time together. They had two sons, Anthony (Andy) Reinolt and Eric Wigdahl.

Ardys is survived by her grandson, her pride and joy- Colin Reinolt of Colfax, whom she helped raise until her passing, her brother Merlin (Linda) Reinolt of New Auburn, her nephew Mark(Wendi) Reinolt Idaho, her niece Stacy Reinolt (Curt Gendron) Minnesota and Kateland Reinoltand Lily Holmes of Idaho (great nieces), as well as many loving friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Adeline; her loving husband Keith, brother Glen, and her sons Anthony (Andy) and Eric.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Jordan Herrick officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in Wheeler, WI.
