I could tell them why they can’t get anything done!
A piece came across my desk last week from a newssheet called “Wokelish” that contained a story that caught my eye. The heading read; “Congress Passes Bill to fund Study on Why Congress Can’t Pass Anything.”
“Congress has passed a bill to fund a study on why Congress can’t pass anything.” It passed the house on a 420 to 0 vote and in the Senate; it passed on a 99 to 0 vote.”
According to the news article, the study is expected to take a year to complete and cost ten million dollars. I could tell them in a few short sentences why they can’t work together and all I would charge would be a cup of coffee.
Here is what the story concludes; “Some people have criticized the study as a waste of money, arguing that Congress already knows why it can’t pass anything. They point to the fact that Congress is deeply divided along partisan lines, and that members of Congress are more interested in scoring political points than in working together to solve problems.”
And, to top that off, the Republicans can’t get their act together and elect a new “Speaker of the House” and nothing can move until Congress has a speaker, and as I wrote this on Friday the thirteenth, nothing at Congress is going to happen on the 13th.
Of course, all of this has been over shadowed by the war in Israel with some of the worst attacks on Jews since the days of World War II. The killing of hundreds of civilians including children, rape and hostage taking at its worst.
But, what makes me ashamed is that student demonstrations have erupted on college campuses here in America supporting those that have been the instrument of death and destruction in Israel. As I watched the television coverage of those demonstrations, most of the young idiots doing the shouting and sign waving had their faces covered with masks.
The only point I could figure to cover your face is that next year at this time when they graduate from one of those evil schools of higher learning, some employer would remember their face from those demonstrations and that student would not get hired.
I can only add that it is apparent that those people hate America, our form of government and want to spread hate throughout the land.
Stop sending our tax money to any school that professes hate.
Thanks for reading! ~Carlton
