Barry Lawrence Larson

Barry Lawrence Larson, age 63, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, passed away on October 4, 2023, at Prescott Nursing and Rehab in Prescott, Wisconsin. He was the beloved son of Selmer and Vernetta (Fanetti) Larson and was born on December 17, 1959.

Barry grew up in Colfax, WI, and was a talented artist, writer, and voracious reader. He loved fishing and spent many hours angling for crappies, bass and walleye. Unfortunately, Barry faced a long and challenging battle with schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder which made his life very challenging. Despite this adversity, he continued to show strength and resilience.

Barry is survived by brothers, Rick Larson and Alan Larson; sisters, Jill (Keith) Seidl and Nancy Larson; former wife Lori (Paff) Larson, niece Sadie (Larson) Rangaraj; and nephews Nick Larson, Brendan Ross, and Austin Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents, Selmer and Vernetta, and sister Kathleen Larson.
