Who’da thunk it?

Most of the world knew what would happen when the United States released six billion dollars for the release of five people held by a terrorist country. The heading back in August read like this. “Biden Agrees To Pay $6 Billion Ransom to Iran For Five U.S. Hostages.” The funds were frozen Iranian oil Reserves.

Back in August who would have ever thought that some terrorist group would try that same stunt and kidnap people and hold them to get more money?

Well, that is what I think happened this weekend when Hamas, armed with deadly rockets, vehicles and weapons invaded Israel and killed over 800 citizens of Israel and took many as hostages.

Hamas’ slogan is “Death to Israel, American, Christians, and any non-believers.” Should we be worried?

I have tried to put together a little history of us paying ransoms.

President Barack Obama forked over $1.7 billion for four Americans held in Tehran as part of some nuclear arms deal.

President Trump used pressure that did not cost a single penny and got the release of two hostages.

So, here is the cost, under Obama administration, we forked over $425 million for each American released. Under Trump, zero for each. But, the Biden administration upped the reward for terrorists to $1.2 billion per hostage.

We need to take a very strong stand now as the killing, raping and hostage taking is ongoing in Israel, but who is our savior?

Biden is a weak president and if his administration was awake, they would have had intel about what Hamas was planning and taken steps to stop the murders from their planned attack. The Biden administration is reacting and is not proactive.

I have no hope that Congress can come together with a program that will destroy Hamas. I lost all confidence in the Republican Party after the eight House Republicans joined with 208 Democrats in firing House Speaker Kevin McCarthy last Tuesday. The house can’t function without a speaker and with those eight effectively joining the Democrats who are more interested in social programs, open borders, no budget and spending beyond our means, and will try to buy off Hamas and any other group with a weapon. 

Not only do we have to worry about a terrorist group, we have China, North Korea, and Russia as countries that would be very happy if the United States was reduced to a third world country, and the Democrats seems bent to help them achieve that goal. 

Speak from strength. Who is going to protect us?

According to a piece from American’s for Limited Government that stated; “Democrats are furious at Joe Biden for prioritizing illegal’s over U.S. citizens. The political pressure is too much, so Biden is resuming construction of the Donald Trump wall at the Mexican border.”

So, I wonder if that will slow down the number of illegal’s coming to our country?
