National Letter of Intent Signed

ANOTHER MOUNDER SIGNS TO COMPETE AT THE COLLEGIATE LEVEL — Elk Mound senior Kara Edington (center) became the second Mounder athlete in less than a month to sign a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to particpate in college athletics. Edington was joined by her mother Kelly Edington (left) and her father Brad Edington (right) for a signing ceremony held in the Elk Mound High School auditorium last Thursday, April 7. Kara Edington signed her National Letter of Intent to attend Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska later this year to compete in powerlifting. Edington, who recently placed 12th in women’s raw 75 KG weight class at the USA Powerlifitng High School Nationals, will received half tuition to attend Midland. Last month, Hannah Larson also signed a NLI to play softball at Augsburg University. —photo by Shawn DeWitt
