Dunn County hires new zoning administrator

By LeAnn R. Ralph

MENOMONIE —  Dunn County has hired Anne Wodarczyk as the new zoning administrator.

Wodarczyk began her duties as the zoning administrator the day of the Dunn County Board meeting on September 15, said Paul Miller, county manager, at the meeting of the Dunn County Board.

Wodarczyk came to Dunn County from St. Croix County where she worked in the zoning office, he said.

“She has a great deal of familiarity with zoning processes, public hearings, special exceptions, variances and zoning inspections. She also has familiarity with planning functions,” Miller said.

Miller noted that he’d had an opportunity on Wodarczyk’s first day at Dunn County to outline the priorities of the county.

“She is a well-spoken individual who comes to us with a good breadth of experience. She is eager to learn,” he said.

Bob Colson, Dunn County’s previous zoning administrator, resigned in July to take a position with Cedar Corporation.

Colson has been working for Dunn County as a consultant and the interim zoning administrator during the hiring process, Miller said.

Colson will continue working in the zoning office for a while to help orient Wodarczyk to the issues and processes in Dunn County, he said.

“We are very excited to have her and look forward to her contributions,” Miller said.
