Judith “Judy” Ann Pettineo, age 76, of Glenwood City, WI passed away peacefully on June 28, 2021 at Mayo Health Systems “Luther” in Eau Claire, WI surrounded by family after a long battle with breast cancer.

Judith was born on November 3, 1944, in Waterloo, IA to Carroll Fred and Anna Grace (DuCharme) Pines. After leaving school she went to work at Freeman Shoe Company where she met Franco Pettineo in Beloit, WI in 1966. They later married on January 7, 1967. In 1969, she focused on being a mother, homemaker and later a grandmother.

Judy enjoyed cooking, word search puzzles, watching game shows and time with her family and her dog. Especially the time on the phone with her mother during many ball games.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband Franco Pettineo, parents, mother-in-law Mariuccia Maria Skallerud, brother Fred Pines and brother-in-law William Penewell.

Judy is survived by Sister Rosemarie Penewell, daughter Anna Pettineo, Sons Joseph Pettineo and Carl Pettineo (Amelinda Javon Velasco). Grandchildren Jacoby, Zach, Brianna, Alayna and Liam. Judy is further survived by nieces other relatives and friends, her dog Izzy and two fury grandpurries.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glenwood City with Father John Long as Celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends were able to call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City one hour prior to services Monday.

Anderson Funeral Home of Glenwood City assisted the family during this difficult time.
