ANGELINE “ANGIE” BRANDT
Angie Brandt, age 83, of Emerald, Wisconsin passed away on June 23rd, 2021 at Baldwin Care Center surrounded by family. Angie was born on July 21, 1937, in Emerald, WI to Gordon and Clara Amundson.
In January 1955, Angie married her highschool sweetheart Jerome “Jerry” Brandt. They were married for 51 years until Jerry passed away from cancer on September 23, 2006 in their home. Angie and Jerry had 8 children together and she spent most of her time raising them before spending 24 years working at McMillan Electric Company. She happily retired at the age of 65 and enjoyed spending time with her family and dog Buddy.
Angie is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Brandt, parents Gordon and Clara Amundson, sister Carol Amundson, parents in law Harold and Gladys Brandt, brother in law Roger Kelm, son in law Pete Peterson, granddaughter Claire Ashley, grandson Monty Brandt, great grandsons Kenneth Lawson and Bradley Maes, and great granddaughter Charlee Ashley.
She is survived by her sisters Mary Kelm, and Bernice (Jim) Dougherty, children Mark Brandt, Sue Lawson, Barb Delong (Dan), Tami Peterson, Kevin Brandt, Gordie Brandt, Kathy Brandt (Bobby), and Julie Standaert (Ron), 30 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, in laws and friends.
A visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral home in Glenwood City, WI on Monday, June 28th from 4-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Her funeral services will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on June 29th at 11 a.m.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
