EMERGENCY PERSONNEL from the Glenwood City Ambulance and Fire Departments attended to a Glenwood City man that crashed his truck at the intersection of Oak and First Streets in Glenwood City around 4:25 p.m. last Wednesday, February 24. Robert Carlson apparently suffered a medical emergency while driving his truck. He sideswiped a car parked in front of the old hotel apartment on the west side of First Street, continued northbound where he then drove up onto the east sidewalk and struck the side of the Glen Hills Professional Building, glancing off the brick building and hit the stop sign at the southeast corner of Oak and First Street before proceeding across the intersection and coming to a stop against a wooden power pole on the northwest corner of the intersection next to The Hair Depot. Carlson was transported by the Glenwood City Ambulance to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries. —photo by Shawn DeWitt
