PAULINE FAYE (STUART) HOFF

Pauline Faye (Stuart) Hoff, age 90, of New Richmond, WI formerly of Boyceville, WI passed away peacefully at her home on September 10, 2020, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer.

Pauline was born February 5, 1930 in Dunn County, WI to Gladys (Whistler) and Charles Stuart. Pauline married Arles Hoff, they were married 47 years, and were blessed with 8 children. Pauline’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She loved and cared deeply for them. All her children were proud to call her mother. She always enjoyed preparing food for large gatherings, much of it grown and canned from her own garden. Pauline’s children and grandchildren loved spending time together canning sweet corn, picking berries and cucumbers, making homemade ice cream and then washing all those dishes. Once the work was done, she was spoiled with a line of children waiting to do her hair. As a family, they loved going to ball games or church and cherished all their time together. She was a sports enthusiast and rarely missed watching her children play softball. She cheered for her favorite teams, the Brewers and Packers.

Pauline is survived by her children Shelvey, Butch (Ginger), Cheryl (Roger) Brathal, Judy (Bruce) Borgen, Linda (Jean), Jeff (Bonnie), Debra O’Flanagan; son-in-law Thomas Simons. Her brother, Michael (Johnna) Stuart, 17 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arles and daughter Patricia Simons, along with her parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Ave) in New Richmond. Visitation was also Sunday from 3:30-6:00 pm. Interment was held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Connorsville, WI with a reception and luncheon at the park following the burial. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
