TOWN OF FOREST — A Saint Paul man is dead after falling from a roof in the Township of Forest July 27.
Juan Manuel Gonzalez, 39, died of injuries suffered in a fall while working on the roof of the former Forest United Methodist Church Monday morning around 10 a.m..
According to a report by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, Gonzalez was trying to remove the steeple of the former church when he became entangled in the framing and fell to the ground.
Emergency services were dispatched immediately with the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, Clear Lake Fire and EMS, Baldwin Medic and Life Link Helicopter responding to the incident address at 1891 County Road D in Forest.
Unfortunately, Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Croix County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The accident remains under investigation.
