Sharon Gallagher, age 72, of Maple Grove, MN passed away May 3, 2020 after a courageous battle with rheumatoid arthritis. She was born to Jay and Berdella Taylor of Colfax, WI and graduated from Colfax High School, Class of 1965. She married John Gallagher October 26, 1968 and moved to Minnesota with him to share the rest of their lives together.

Sharon was always a hard worker; whether on the farm where she grew up or at any job she worked at. While working at Target, the company recognized she had a gift for working with people so they offered her a managerial position in one of their departments. She worked there for many years and eventually retired.

Sharon valued her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with them. She always had an open door for friends or family in need.  Her grandchildren loved staying at Grandma and Grandpa’s home and spending time doing crafts with her. Through her life, Sharon enjoyed card stamping, sewing, cookie exchanges, garage-saling, fried potatoes in the middle of the night and lively conversations with family and friends.

Sharon loved her family and is survived by her husband, John Gallagher; son, Paul (Angie) Gallagher and daughter, Kelly (Eric) Langerman; grandchildren Cullen, Jackson, John, and Matthew; brother Jeff (Nancy) Taylor, sisters, Lori Sudbrink, Jeanne Anderson; many nieces and nephews; and special friend and guardian angel to Sharon, Mary Bauer.

She is preceded in death by parents; Jay and Berdella Taylor; brothers, Morris Waite and Steven Taylor.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at a later date.
