Glenwood City and Boyceville public libraries offering curbside pickup

THE GLENWOOD CITY Public Library, like many public libraries, reopened Monday, April 27 with curbside pick-up of materials. Patrons are asked to call ahead, email or place their selections online and the library will schedule a time to pick up items. —photo by Shawn DeWitt
Glenwood City and Boyceville’s public libraries opened up for curbside pickup on Monday, April 27, which came after Governor Tony Ever’s order on April 24.
Glenwood City is available for pickup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will schedule a 15 minute slot for those picking anything up.
They ask residents to call in or email their requests to the library, as they are “always happy to help.”
Pickups for the Glenwood City Library are located on the table in front of the building.
Boyceville’s Public Library also opened up for appointments on Monday morning, and asked residents to call or email to schedule a pickup appointment, and for those in need of an internet connection you are able to access the wifi from the parking lot.
Once the books are available someone from the library will call to schedule a pickup time. They also recommend a 24 to 72 quarantine of the items once they are taken home.
Boyceville’s library workers will bring the books outside and put them down while residents wait in their vehicles for the workers to go back inside the building.
When requesting books from Boyceville the titles searched on their website that are available are limited to the titles at that library.
Tips from the Boyceville library are to exclude ebooks and audiobooks by selecting “Titles I can…” filter and select “Borrow and take home,” select “Place a Hold” and verify your pickup library as Boyceville, and turn on “Active Filters” so subsequent searches retain limits.
