Evelyn Clara Norrgard of Boyceville, WI, age 84, passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2020 at the Neighbors of Dunn County Healthcare Center, due to complications of Parkinson’s disease.

Evelyn was born May 23rd, 1935 in Warroad, MN to Charles & Clara Eckhardt. She spent her childhood years on the farm near Ogilvie, MN. After graduating high school in 1953 she left the farm and ventured into the big city of Minneapolis where she found work at Munsingwear & then at Keegan Farm Equip. Co.

She married Wayne O. Norrgard on August 14th, 1954 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ogilvie, MN. She resided in Monticello, MN & Dresser, WI before moving to Boyceville, WI in 1963. Evelyn was head cook at the Boyceville High School from 1965-1977. She was employed as a cook at U of W Stout dining services from 1977-1983. Evelyn was a custodian at CKTO Residence Hall from 1983-1993.  She then transferred to the Stout Library where she retired in 2000.  Once retired Evelyn loved spending time with her family, gardening, antiquing & cooking. She will be greatly missed by all.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, baby sister Darling Clara, brothers Charles, Robert, Elmer, Ed & Al. Son-in-Law Gary Schutts. She is survived by her beloved husband Wayne, daughter Joanne Schutts of Forest Lake, MN, son Gregory (Lori) Norrgard of Boyceville, WI. Grandson Michael Norrgard & granddaughters Sara & Amanda Schutts. Great grandchildren Mason & Kaleigha.

Due to the COVID19 restrictions a private graveside service will be held for immediate family only.
