DRYER FIRE — The Glenwood City Fire Department was called to the Tiffany Creek Apartments on West Walnut Street in Glenwood City around noon on Sunday, March 8 for a fire in a clothes dryer. Firefighters arrived on scene to find the dryer, located in the basement of Apartment 2, on fire. Chief Greg Holden said that the fire was quickly extinquished using a minimum of water but firefighters remained on scene for an hour ventilating the affected apartment and a neighboring unit with fans to remove the smoke that had filled the dwellings.
