There is so much ammunition!
The Democratic candidates running for president have left so much verbal ammunitions for us to talk about. I feel they are trying to smother us with barnyard waste in the hopes that we will believe what they have to say and vote for them. They want to change our country into a socialist state from our present capitalist economy.
In order to get elected they have promised us free things, like free education, free health care and they want to replace God with big government. They want us to believe in Robin Hood, they will rob the rich and give it to the poor, except the poor will be the elected officials.
If big government were the answer to our problems, we would not have problems.
Just in case you do not know what capitalism is. According to my dictionary, “it is an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit.”
Socialism holds that a country’s land, transportation, natural resources, and chief industries should be owned or controlled by the community. It takes away our choice of where to live, work and you will not have a selection of what to buy. There will be only one item to choose from. The government will control what is available for you to buy and competition will be eliminated.
It is that capitalism system that has brought us from a system where 90 percent of the population was involved in farming to the modern age of prosperity, where we are all able to live comfortably and enjoy what we have earned from our labors and live a long life span.
First we have Mike Bloomberg, who is running for president, and brags about spending a hundred million dollars of his own money two years ago to get Democrat candidates elected to congress so he could control our people’s house.
Now, we have Bernie Sanders taking a swipe at Israel and its leader in favor of people who pursue death, backwardness and superstition. He has embraced Castro, took his honeymoon in Russia and hates anyone who works hard and made some money. But he is a millionaire and has three homes.
Here is what Robert Romano; Vice President of Public Policy at the Americans for Limited Government has to say about Sanders.
“After another big win, this time in Nevada, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a self-described democratic socialist, is the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, and the Democratic establishment has no idea what to do about it.
“But really, Democrats have nobody to blame but themselves. If Sanders weren’t running, they’d have to invent him.
“More than a generation has been spent declaring cultural Marxism to be a conspiracy theory, all the while the left was soft peddling socialism and radicalism in our public schools and universities, in Hollywood and in governmental and non-governmental institutions.
“And in pushing radical environmentalism to transform the U.S. economy that has fostered the Green New Deal, a proposal to end oil, gas, nuclear and coal consumption by 2030, and convert to solar and wind, and put the U. S. at a global disadvantage economically versus China and other emerging economies.
“And into demonizing wealth and success so that now the Democrat’s national platform now calls for redistributing wealth, raising taxes and pitting Americans against one another via class warfare, all the while disincentivizing work with universal basic income schemes.
“Until now a full 50 percent of Democrats have a favorable view of socialism, according to the Latest NPR-Marist poll while only 33 percent of Democrats polled had a negative view of socialism.
“And while the overall outcome of the poll shows 58 percent of Americans oppose socialism, creating an uphill battle for Sanders in the general election and giving President Donald Trump a decided advantage this November, that is a snapshot in time. Most people now think about the failures and brutality of Eastern Europe, Cuba, or Venezuela when they think of socialism.
“But give it another four or eight years or sixteen years and another recession or two. As Baby Boomers begin dying in greater numbers, and younger generations become the prime voters in elections, and eventually there will be an economic slowdown, it is conceivable that almost all Democrats will one day have a favorable view of socialism in the future.
“As a result, Sanders is the party base’s most honest representation. He is the future of the party. The fact he has never registered as a Democrat and views the party’s establishment as an obstacle to change, and yet is winning handily, shows that Sanders has bent the Democratic Party in his direction. He’s winning the argument.”
Maybe I should think about becoming a socialist, and then I will not have to work, as income re-distribution would see that I get sufficient funds to live on, but if everyone gets funds from the government, who would work to generate those funds? And, as for a single payer health insurance, that would mean rationing health care and that I think would mean that us old people with terminal illnesses would be denied treatment.
Thanks for reading! ~Carlton
