TEAMING UP TO FIGHT CANCER — Players on the Boyceville and Colfax girls’ basketball teams stood in solidarity February 14 in the fight to end cancer. Together, players on both squads formed a ribbon in Boyceville’s High School gym to kick off the 10th annual “Coaches versus Cancer” fundraiser before donning their respectively school colors to do battle on the hardwood. The event featured a silent auction, raffles, dash for cash and food with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society to aid in its search for cures. Over $11,000 was raised at this year’s event, bringing the ten-year total to over $60,000. —photo by Shawn DeWitt
