JOHN M. WALZ
John M Walz, age 60, of Glenwood City, WI died peacefully at his home in Woodville, WI on Saturday, August 3, 2019.
John was born April 29th, 1959 in New Richmond to Lindy and LaVina Walz. John was raised on the family farm in Glenwood City, WI with his 3 older siblings. He graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1977.
John loved his family, most importantly his three children; Jonathan, Bailey and Riley. John was the most thoughtful individual and wouldn’t hesitate to help someone in a pinch. John’s sense of humor was unique to say the least – he would oftentimes share a good joke with his daughter Bailey (most of which we can’t share).
John recently enjoyed showing off his new golf cart to all of his friends at Glen Hills Golf Course. Glen Hills is where you could find John most Saturday mornings with a few of his closest friends. John loved to be outside, taking walks down the trail in Woodville and attending various sporting events. John was very good with hands as he primarily worked in construction, specifically siding.
John was an amazing father, brother and friend who will be extremely missed by many.
John is survived by his three children; Jonathan (34), Bailey (25), and Riley (21). Sister; Susan Gilbertson (Larry), Brothers; Charles ‘Chuck’ Walz (Jan) and Joe Walz (Gloria). Nieces and nephews Karla Gilbertson (Nathan), Timothy Gilbertson (Gretchen), Corrie Stanway, Gabe Walz (Christa), Laura Rendall (Nate), Jenna Evan (Jarod) and Dayna Hillstrom (Nick). John is further survived by other relatives and friends.
John is welcomed into heaven by his parents Lindy and LaVina Walz.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father John Long officiating.
