One injured in motorcycle vs. deer accident on Highway 128

ONE PERSON was injured when the motorcycle, pictured above, struck a deer on Saturday, May 25 while traveling northbound on State Road 128 about a quarter mile south of the St. Croix County Fairgrounds. According to a report from the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle Ronnie J. Emly, 37, of Lino Lakes, MN lost control when he struck a deer while headed north along State Road 128 around 6:30 p.m. that evening. Emly tried to apply the brakes but struck the deer which threw him and his passenger Amber L. Emly, also 37 of Lino Lakes from the motorcycle which then caught fire while lying in the middle of the roadway. Ronnie Emly was transported to Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin by private vehicle. Amber Emly was not transported. The Glenwood City Ambulance and Fire Department responded the scene.
