MUNICIPAL REPRESENTATIVES of the Boyceville Fire District along with Fire Chief Cory Green broke ground during a ceremony held Sunday afternoon, April 28 at the future site of the new Boyceville fire station, which will be located just east of the Boyceville Cenex along the new Charlotte Street extension. THROWING DIRT — Officers of the Boyceville Fire Department officially broke ground for the fire district’s new station inb a special ceremony held Sunday, April 28. Groundbreaking ground were from left to right: Theo Curvello, Lisa Pederson, Danny Knops, Cory Green, Matt Rydel and Matt Lunderville. Missing is Tim Fasbender. The ceremony was well attended by the public and included officials from the fire district’s municipalities, the archectural firm, firefighters and their families and the local boy scout troop.The new fire station will be built along the Charlotte Street extension just east of the Boyceville Cenex-Synergy Cooperative building. Construction is set to begin this year but no official date has yet been announced. —photo by Shawn DeWitt
