CLARA F. DRESSEL

Clara F. Dressel, 75, of Bloomer, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

She was born August 10, 1943, in Chicago, Il., the daughter of Michael and Agnes Kriegler.  Clara graduated from Colfax Senior High School, and later married Loren Dressel on June 29, 1963, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley.

Clara worked for several years in administration at Bremer Bank in Colfax & Menomonie from where she retired.  She liked to attend her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, play bingo, as well as go camping with family and friends.

Clara is survived by four children, Mike (Pam) Dressel, Mark (Sharon) Dressel, Shelly (Kevin) Albricht, and Lori Trowbridge; grandchildren, Preston, Forest (Brittany), Nick (Katie), Samantha (Jon), Miranda, Sloane (Josh), Lexi (Josh), and Camrin; five great-grandchildren, Chase, Maverick, Jentry, Maisy, and Stella; and one sister, Rosemary (Chuck) Stoffel of Elk Mound.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren; her parents; and sister, Helen Rokus.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley with Fr. Victor Feltes officiating.  Burial will be private in the spring at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home in Bloomer and from 10-11 a.m. Friday at church.  A Christian vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are preferred to the church in Clara’s name.
