Zukowski announces candidacy for Dunn County Sheriff

Adam Zukowski has announced his candidacy for Dunn County Sheriff.  In explaining his reasons for running, Adam said he “wants to continue to serve the citizens of Dunn County by leading a department dedicated to the safety and security of Dunn County residents.”

Zukowski has served as a deputy in the sheriff’s department for almost 15 years. Prior to joining the department, he was a state trooper in Wyoming and before that worked part-time for the Dunn County Sheriff’s Reserves, Spring Valley and Glenwood City Police Departments.

In Adam’s time off, his family is the primary focus. Adam has been married to Mary (Styer) for 21 years and they have three children. The family is very involved in 4-H activities. Adam is the committee chair for the Dunn County Meat Animal Project and chair a subcommittee for the Dunn County Leaders Federation. In their local 4-H club, he serves as the adult leader for the swine project and coaches the club’s softball team. Their children raise and show swine at the local and state fairs. The family also enjoys serving in the church, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

In discussing his candidacy for sheriff he stated: “Even though I am not originally from the area I have planted my roots here firmly. My immediate family and the Styer family all support my candidacy.”
