Homicide occurs in Richmond Township
On April 14, 2018 at 4:11a.m. the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office and the New Richmond Police Department responded to a 911 call in Richmond Township. The caller advised assistance was needed for a man with a gunshot wound.
Lifesaving efforts were performed by a witness on scene prior to law enforcement and EMS arrival. Law enforcement found Chase Alan Fleischauer, age 19 from St. Paul, MN with a gunshot wound to the head. The St. Croix County Medical Examiner pronounced Fleischauer dead at 6:37 a.m.
Fleischauer was taken to Ramsey Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. The death has been ruled a homicide. Initial investigation found this was a domestic related incident and there is no threat to the public. One person remains in custody at the St. Croix County Jail. This investigation remains under investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Crime Lab.
