COLFAX — The Dunn County Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society presented special awards and installed the 2018 officers and board members on February 6, 2018 at Mom’s On Main Restaurant in Colfax.
Gary Thorson of Colfax was presented the 2017 “Barbershopper Of The Year” award (BOTY) by Dave McNaughton.
Thorson was recognized for his leadership and outstanding contribution to the Chapter throughout the year.
Past President Gary Thorson handed over the gavel to the 2018 President Tom Casey of Mondovi. Presenting the appointment was Representative Steve Zorn.
Steve Zorn, 10,000 Lakes Division Counselor, installed members Dan Heike (Director), Dave McNaughton (Assistant Director), chapter officers Tom Casey (President), Craig Schultz (Secretary), Steve Brantner (Treasurer), Barry Dietsche (VP Chapter Development), Dave McNaughton (VP Music/Performance and VP Youth in Harmony), Pat Mulheron (VP Marketing/PR), Steve Nelson (VP Program), Darrell Hoepner (Member-at-large).
The Chapter is preparing for it’s 49th Annual Harmony Show “Hillbilly Harmony” to be presented on Saturday April 14, 2018 at 7:30 pm in the Colfax High School Gymnasium. A fun filled show you wont want to miss. Featured guests are the Northern Light Chorus from the Dunn County Chapter, the Land O’ Lakes Barbershop Harmony District Hall of Fame Quartet, Vocality and a local favorite quartet, CHIPS.
