Colfax police department responds to 44 calls for service in December

COLFAX —  The Colfax Police Department responded to 44 calls for service in December and made 14 traffic stops.

Here are the calls for service:

• Assist other agency: 1 — two-car accident.

• Warrant: 2 — both for failure to appear for court.

• Ambulance assist: 3.

• Civil: 2 — dispute over cellphone; dispute over vehicle.

• 911 Hangup/misdial: 1.

• Burglary: 1 — to a residence; two arrests.

• Animal complaint: 1 — dog at large, owner cited.

• Suspicion: 2 — suspicious juveniles in area of dollar store; unknown subject at animal hospital.

• OVT: 1 — restricted parking hours.

• Juvenile: 3 — check welfare; threats at school; threats at park.

• Disorderly: 2 — argument at gas station; disorderly female at tavern, cited.

• Open door: 1 — residence.

• Public relations: 2 — games at school.

• Fraud: 2 — fraudulent checks passed; fraudulent account opened.

• Theft: 1 — medications.

• Lost/found: 2 — one lost wallet; one lost checkbook.

• Damage to property: 3 — damage to business, one arrested; damage to car; damage to light pole.
