COLFAX — The Colfax Board of Education has expelled a high school student.
The school board held an expulsion hearing the evening of November 1.
The student was expelled for possessing marijuana paraphernalia on school grounds, according to Bill Yingst, district administrator.
[emember_protected] The administration and the Board of Education for the School District of Colfax take school safety and the topic of illegal drugs and the possession of drug paraphernalia very seriously, Yingst wrote in an e-mail message to the Colfax Messenger.
Yingst did not indicate whether the student is expelled permanently.
Under some circumstances, students who are expelled may return to school after fulfilling certain sets of conditions. [/emember_protected]
