TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD — The drivers of two vehicles involved in an accident in the Town of Springfield last month have now been identified by St. Croix County.

Captain Jeff Klatt of the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office said the drivers involved in the September 9 accident were 53-year-old James Fisk of Glenwood City, and 45-year-old Jeremy Cernohous of Baldwin.

Klatt said the report indicated St. Croix County 911 operators received a call at 4:57 p.m. regarding a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road D and 110th Avenue in the Town of Springfield.

According to the report, Fisk was driving a vehicle south on County Road D when he was struck by Cernohous. The Baldwin man was driving west on 110th Avenue and failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection.

Cernohous required extrication from his vehicle, and both he and Fisk were transported to Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin for treatment.

Klatt reported Cernohous was cited for his failure to yield.

Agencies assisting at the scene were Glenwood City Ambulance Service, Glenwood City Fire, Glenwood City Police, and St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office.
