Wanted man captured

A man that eluded Dunn County Sheriff’s deputies following a pursuit August 30 was taken into custody without incident the following day.

Dunn County law enforcement officers put out a “Wanted Person” alert Thursday morning, August 30 after 31 year-old Matthew M. Baier, address not given), eluded authorities after fleeing on foot following the termination of a vehicle pursuit in the Irvington area.

Baier, who was wanted on a Department of Corrections felony extraditable apprehension request and is a suspect in several burglary and property crimes in Dunn County, was taken in custody around 6:25 p.m. the next day, August 31.

Baier was found hiding in a camper just west of the City of Menomonie.
